I have selected six educational feeds for my reader. I chose each of them for different reasons.
My first choice was edutopia. I have used this source in the last two courses because it has all sorts of important and useful information.
My second selection was free technology for teachers. I am having a real struggle at the school I'm teaching at because they have blocked practically everything on the internet. I can't even take my laptop to school with my air card to show my art students videos from youtube. This site, I hope will help me get around these problems at school.
My third site is the center for arts education in New York. The big apple is a premier place for the arts. I want to read about education and the arts and what new things they are doing.
My fourth site is Twitter feeds educational needs. Everyone twitters. That's even funny sounding because twittering is a noun and a verb! I thought it would be a good place to read what john q public twitters about education.
My fifth feed is youth media reporter:integrating elements:media arts education. I get the idea that these are young people reporting on media arts. The jury is still out on this one. I may not keep it.
My last feed is Dewey 21. Dewey wrote a lot about art philosophy. I tried to read his writings and I found t quite boring. Maybe by reading this feed I'll learn more about him.
